Business Travel Assistance Program

If you are traveling on business more than 100 miles away from your place of residence or overseas, ACE Travel Assistance can provide you with the following assistance:

  • Medical — includes referral to a doctor or medical specialist and medical evaluation.
  • Personal — includes emergency medication, embassy and consular information, lost document assistance.
  • Travel — includes emergency travel arrangements or arrangements for the return of a traveling companion or dependent.
  • Security — includes a crisis hotline and security assistance to address safety concerns, as well as access to a web-based system for tracking global threats (visit acetravelassistance.net; username: medassist-usa@axa-assistance.us; password: acea&h)

Getting assistance

When should you call ACE Travel Assistance Services?

Please call when:

  • You require a referral to a hospital or doctor
  • You are hospitalized
  • You need to be evacuated or repatriated
  • You need to guarantee payment for medical expenses

  • Your safety is threatened by the sudden occurrence of a political or military event

Commuter Benefits

To ease the cost of your commute to work, MarketAxess offers two tax-free commuter accounts through PNC — one for parking expenses, the other for transit expenses (excluding tolls). These accounts let you set aside pre-tax dollars from your paycheck to help pay for eligible parking and/or transit costs. It’s easy and flexible.

Enroll any time of year by logging in to OKTA to access UKG. Then, manage your account on PNC’s website.

Decide how much you want to contribute, and that amount will be deducted from your paycheck before taxes are applied. 

Elect

You can contribute up to the monthly IRS pre-tax limits of $315 for transit and $315 for parking. You may also contribute monthly on an after-tax basis.

Changes made will be reflected will be reflected in the next available semi-monthly payroll.

Getting reimbursed 

Reimbursement does not apply to transit passes; they must be purchased online or at the point-of-service using your PNC commuter debit card. 

For parking expenses, either use the PNC debit card or request reimbursement within 180 days of the date you incurred the expense. It’s easy:

  1. Log in to PNC’s website. If you’re a new user, click the “Get Started” button to create an account. For greater convenience, you can also use the PNC BeneFit Plus mobile app — download it for free from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Under “I Want To,” click “File A Claim” and follow the prompts to submit your claim. If you need to provide documentation for a claim, you can take a picture and upload an image of your receipt with your mobile phone. 

If you leave MarketAxess

If you have any funds left in your account at the time you terminate employment, amounts not applied for eligible expenses incurred, or paid prior to termination, will be forfeited.

Commuting expenses: What’s eligible?

You can spend the pre-tax money in your transit and parking accounts on eligible expenses, per IRS rules, including:

Transit expenses 

  • Transportation in a commuter highway vehicle
  • Ride-sharing services such as Uber or Lyft 
  • Transit passes: Any pass, token, farecard, or voucher entitling you to transportation that is on mass transit (bus, train, ferry, or subway) or provided by any person in the business of transporting people for compensation or hire (as long as the transportation is provided in a vehicle meeting the requirements of a commuter highway vehicle)

Tolls and EZ Pass expenses are not eligible. 

Parking expenses

  • What you pay to park on or near the premises of your work
  • The fees you pay to park near a location from which you commute to work by train, vanpool, or carpool

Please note

  • Commuter expenses must be made with a single swipe of the debit card. For larger monthly purchases, you may need to put after-tax money aside for the funds to be available.

Charitable Gift Matching Program

MarketAxess is committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work. Through our Charitable Gift Matching Program, we double the value of donations you make to nonprofit organizations, increasing your gift. All full-time employees are eligible. How it works

MarketAxess will match 100% of any qualifying cash gifts you make to an eligible organization, up to $2,000 per calendar year. The minimum amount that will be matched is $50.

To qualify for a matching contribution, your gift must meet the following conditions:

  • The gift must be an actual cash donation (not a pledge)
  • Any non-deductible portion of the gift will not be matched1
  • Only employee gifts will be matched2

1 Non-deductible portions of gifts include any benefit you receive from making a contribution (e.g., raffles, banquets/dinners, etc.). Gift acknowledgements generally specify what portion is deductible.

2 For example, if an employee fundraises, only funds from the employee themselves and other MarketAxess employees will be matched.

US staff submission instructions

Charity match for US staff is submitted through Salesforce. If you do not have access to Salesforce, go to RES.marketaxess.com, pick “Production” and under Profile select “Charity Matching.”

Which organizations are eligible?

On the date of the gift, recipient organizations must be recognized by:

  • the US I.R.S. as a public charity described in IRC section 501(c)(3) or an instrumentality of a federal, state, or local government under Section 170(c) of the Code (excluding the ineligible organizations listed below), or 
  • in the case of gifts by employees to a UK organization, the HM Revenue & Customs as a UK Charity.

Eligible organizations in the US must be able to provide MarketAxess with a receipt for any corporate gift over $250.

Eligible organizations include…

  • Accredited institutions providing higher education
  • Community and civic organizations
  • Arts and cultural organizations, e.g., museums or libraries
  • Social service organizations or charitable organizations
  • Disaster relief
  • Hospital or health care agencies
  • Environmental organizations

Ineligible organizations include…

  • Private foundations
  • Organizations currently receiving annual funding from MarketAxess

Note: MarketAxess reserves the right to examine and exclude organizations as it deems appropriate and to deny a matching contribution on any basis in its sole discretion. Employees are encouraged to check with Human Resources prior to making a donation to confirm that the recipient organization qualifies under the gift matching program.

MarketAxess partners with Bright Horizons to offer all US-based employees valuable family and education benefits to support you and provide peace of mind.

  • Back-up child care: Next time school’s closed, your sitter cancels, or you’re between child care arrangements, high-quality back-up care is just a click or call away:
    • Care is available at a center near you for well children, or provided by screened caregivers in your home for well or mildly ill children. 
    • Care recipients may include infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, and teens. For in-center care, age limits will vary by location. Most centers can care for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age; some accommodate children through age 12. For in-home care, there is no age limit.

Where is back-up care available? 

This benefit gives you access to a nationwide network of high-quality, licensed child care centers, including hundreds of accredited Bright Horizons child care centers across the US. Chances are high that there are options near your home and office.

In addition, Bright Horizons has partnerships with 650 in-home care agencies that employ a total of nearly 200,000 experienced caregivers who travel up to 35 miles to provide care in your home or the home of your relative. Care options depend on the availability of these network providers in your area. While care is not guaranteed, Bright Horizons will make every effort to accommodate your reservation request.

Returning to work after parental leave?

Turn to your Bright Horizons benefits for extra support to help you head back to work:

Employee Stock Purchase Program

The MarketAxess Holdings Inc. 2022 Employee Stock Purchase Plan (“ESPP”) has been established to provide employees with an opportunity to acquire discounted shares of the Company’s common stock at periodic intervals through voluntary after-tax payroll deductions.  Enrollment periods are twice per year and each offering runs for six months.

Eligibility:

  • US or Singapore employee
  • Must be employed at least 60 days as of enrollment start date
  • Must work 20 hours or more per week more than 5 months per year
  • Non-employees and consultants are ineligible to participate

Free Lunch

Tuition Assistance

MarketAxess is pleased to offer employees a tuition reimbursement program to support your professional development goals and support a high-performance culture. MarketAxess will provide reimbursement of up to $5,250 per calendar year toward a degree related to your position or to financial services.

You are eligible to participate after one year of continuous, full-time employment. You’ll need direct management approval, and the GMT manager and HR will be notified. Learn more about the program below.

Curriculum criteria 

  • The degree or certificate must be related to your current position or financial services. Degrees in continuing education are included.
  • Must be a degree or certificate program with an accredited college or university.
  • Must be a multi-semester curriculum.
  • Other certifications may be included in Training and Development at the discretion of HR.  

Elective classes that don’t meet these requirements will not be reimbursed. 

How to participate

  • Prior to the start of the semester, you’ll be required to complete a participation form providing information about the degree or certificate program, as well as the semester’s class listing. This will be repeated each semester.
  • The form must be signed by your direct manager and forwarded to HR prior to the start of the semester.

Reimbursement

  • How much: You will be reimbursed at 100% up to the cap for grades of A and B, as well as a Pass (for Pass/Fail classes). For grades with a C, you will receive 75% reimbursement up to the cap. There is no reimbursement for grades of D, F, and Fail. Reimbursement is made after you receive your grades.
  • What’s eligible: Reimbursement includes fees, labs, and books.
  • What you need to do: You must complete a reimbursement form and include your receipts or invoices, as well as your grades. This documentation must be given to HR for processing.
  • How it’s paid: The amount to be reimbursed will be divided into 12 equal installments. Reimbursements are made over a 12-month period via the last payroll of every month. Reimbursements begin as soon as practical after the reimbursement form and grades are received by HR.
  • If you leave MarketAxess: If you voluntarily resign or are terminated for cause prior to reimbursements being completed, no further payments will be made. If you are terminated by MarketAxess for any other reason, MarketAxess will arrange for repayment of the remaining balance.
